Small robot.
A little care.
Glazework · Midnight Rink is an original, local-only ice-resurfacing game. Coverage is measured across the actual playable surface; the moving rear squeegee cleans ice and consumes water. Five handcrafted shifts introduce equipment islands and dividers. This is a gentle toy, not a physical ice-maintenance simulator.
The theme takes inspiration from current embodied-AI research, including Hugging Face LeRobot, an open-source robotics learning project. Observed November 5, 2026: 28,689 stars; Apache-2.0; latest source commit November 4, 2026. It is a research reference only. No LeRobot source code, models, datasets or assets are used, and the game does not run AI inference. No affiliation or endorsement is implied.
Popular browser-game research included Server Survival (6,476 stars, MIT), Breaklock (331 stars, MIT) and Farmhand (147 stars, GPL-2.0). Those concepts already appear in the catalog. Curling and crokinole were also rejected as overlaps. This original coverage-driving game was created after that review.
Artwork & sound
The pavilion illustration and transparent resurfacing-robot sprite were generated with OpenAI’s built-in GPT image tool for this project. Both are optimized local WebP files. The original pavilion concept included curling equipment; the playable game is rink maintenance. Sound is optional and synthesized locally; it starts only after you enable it.
Your device, your ribbons
The game uses only device-local storage for best ribbons. There is no account, network gameplay, purchase, upload or analytics added by this game. Local storage may be unavailable in private browsing; gameplay still works.
